HISTORY
OF THE INSTITUTE
Since the 1990s, lecturers of Wine Campus have been
delivering wine courses to students in
Europe in a normal
classroom setting or
eye2eye. Given the popularity of the
Web and online courses at that time, Wine
Campus quickly developed into a virtual wine
school. Today, we deliver wine tuition to
anyone anywhere in the world with a PC,
access to the Internet, and the keenness to
learn.
Wine Campus is one of the few colleges
providing wine education via up-to-date and
carefully researched
e-learning modules.
They are delivered by first-rate wine
experts and tutors to whom students would
otherwise have no access.

is a modern wine institute and facilitates novice oenophiles and aspiring
wine professionals from around the globe,
often living in remote areas or simply with
busy time tables, to follow self-paced
interactive wine courses.
Today the courses are
internationally recognised and our 'brick and
mortar' campus (details below) is still
located in and operates independently from
Malta, the heart of winemaking in the Mediterranean.
Wine Campus ™
offers carefully designed wine
appreciation courses. But, we mainly teach oenology, viticulture, wine tasting methodology and sommeliership at a more academic and
professional educational level.
We also train professionals in the retail,
wholesale, export, business, management and
hospitality sectors of the wine and spirits
industry.

Every student that enrols finds it a
pleasure and a privilege to have easy access
to an outstanding corps of tutors and course
consultants, academic professionals, wine
trade specialists and Masters of Wine.
Specialist tuition across a wide range of
wine related subjects is available to a very
high level. We actively support and apply
the EU’s Principles on E-learning and are
compliant with the
MECA-ODL quality
standards in Open and Distance
Learning.

QUALITY
& INDEPENDENT ONLINE WINE COURSES
Googling wine can be fun but relying on a
secret algorithm to index, sort and rank
information into a simulacrum of ‘knowledge’
is not quite the same thing as the kind of
study or learning experience we wish to
share with you.

After all, exploring the Web is merely

knowledge. Our independent wine courses, in
contrast, are instrumental. They are

shall assimilate correct and up-to-date
facts. We empower you to assess the value of
an argument when it comes to the divine
nectar.

Wine
Campus is unique in that we are geared up to
also accredit wine stewards and sommeliers
anywhere in the world through a network of
qualified examiners. Through our
'Cru
Project', we now mentor
students on an intensive, one-on-one basis
in their pursuit of wine education. We
certify wine stewards and sommeliers who
complete our original courses: 'The Protégé'
and 'The Knowledge'. Thanks to donations to
the school from affiliated members we can
offer bursaries via our 'Fortis Plan'.
