‘Assessing Wine Methodically’

The course will enable participants to carry out a methodical evaluation of different wines and to improve their understanding of viticulture and oenology.

Sessions will be held on four consecutive Saturday mornings, starting 26th January 2008 (with an optional exam on the fifth Saturday).
Course Tuition Fee: € 115 (special rate MHRA members and students).

 ‘Wine and Food Dynamics’

No previous wine knowledge required
This course is intended for those who wish to acquire a better understanding of different wines of origin and principles of classic and new-emerging wine and food pairings.

Sessions will be held on two consecutive Saturday mornings, 23rd February and 1st March 2008.
Course fee: € 65 (special rate MHRA members and students).

   ‘Sparkling Wine and Champagne Intensive’

No previous wine knowledge required
This course enhances participants’ understanding of different intrinsic characteristics of various types of Champagne and different sparkling wines and helps comprehend the concept of 'terroir' more thoroughly. Sessions will be held on two consecutive Saturday mornings in April 2008
Course fee: € 75 (special rate MHRA members and students).

Following the success and popularity of the series of wine classes delivered by wine professional and lecturer Georges Meekers over the past years, another exciting programme of wine appreciation courses will be offered in 2008.

Sessions will be held in a regular classroom setting, showing slideshows and material from our wine video library at MISCO, Fino Buildings, Mriehel, Malta.

Applications are accepted on a ‘first come – first served’ basis up to 7 days prior to the commencement of the course.
