have been revised. Not only has the content
been enhanced but fees have become more
democratic too. Good news all round!
April 2008 -
School Director, Georges Meekers, won the
Gourmand Book Award for Best Wine Guide in
the English language for his reference work
The Wines of Malta - The Essential Guide.
February 2008 -
The course 'Wine and Food Dynamics' has been
accepted and adapted by Barkan winery as
part of the winery's ongoing educational
programme for restaurateurs and hoteliers in
Israel.

Further to a meeting between Wine Campus and
top sommelier Dott. G. Vaccarini, a course
in 'Water, Wine and Food Harmonisation' is
being designed and made available online.
2 October 2007 -
In addition to the f2f classes,
online documentation on 'Wine Service
Proficiency' has been made available to
Maltese members of the hospitality trade.

light-hearted take on all thing vinous
(which do not find their place in the
curriculum) are posted on
the newly launched
blog. The institute has also been
re-branded as Wine Campus tout court.
22 June 2007 - Over 100 delegates have completed one of the courses of the 2007 programme of regular wine classes organised in Malta at FIS, University of Malta. Besides the popular course 'Assessing Wine Methodically', two new courses were extremely well received: 'Wine and Food Dynamics' and 'Sparkling Wines and Champagne Intensive'.

school director has written the first ever reference book about the emerging wines of Malta. The publication 'Wines of Malta - the essential guide' can be purchased from Amazon.

- "without tasting it together", you ponder?
Well, if one can learn how to play the
violin via e-teaching, one can surely master
the subject of wine - after all, tasting
comes natural to us and all we need is

16 November 2006 - Wine Campus have started offering free sample classes. The scope is to offer clarity in the way how distance learning courses are accessed by students on the platform. Especially the complimentary 'Wine and Food Pairing' Classes are very popular.
