wine courses via distance learning

Based upon our research and feed-back from students we have designed the courses to be of different levels of difficulty and lengths, and to be flexible so that you can utilise them in the different branches of the wine and spirits industries.

Wine Campus offers a high academic standard in its distance learning course contents. This results in a better prepared and trained graduate.

We also differ from other institutions in that our courses are designed specifically for
professionals in the wine trade, management, sommeliers and hospitality trade.

Our approach is nevertheless not elitist and anyone who can convince the college that he or she stands to benefit from the course may enrol.

Our course fees are democratic and we offer value. Once you have completed your course you will still receive, for a minimum of 12 months, regular academic updates.

'The Knowledge' is the flagship course of Wine Campus. This is a vocational one on one online course in wine service proficiency. As a student you will be exposed to all elements involved in the wine business including viticulture, vinification, and appellation laws. You will begin to develop your blind tasting skills by studying old and new world wine regions as well as sparkling and fortified wines. In addition, you will build on your service skills, food and wine pairing techniques, and proper storage practices. The goal of this course is to advance your understanding of wine and winemaking in order to prepare you for the job of sommelier.
